Manju Bangalore shares the story behind Operation Period-01, the first dedicated research mission to study menstruation in space, planned for a 2027 suborbital flight with Virgin Galactic. The talk explores the gaps in reproductive health research, the limits of spacecraft designed around a narrow definition of the human body, and what it will take to build a more inclusive future for space exploration.
