Sarah Pocklington is a Cree/Scottish/English vocalist, performer and teacher who composes for film, documentaries and television. Sarah has extensive experience in Arts Management, Performing Arts & Music Event Curation, and is a former Adjunct Professor of Indigenous Studies at the University of Alberta. As a member of the internationally acclaimed Juno nominated Indigenous women’s trio, ASANI, Sarah has performed throughout Canada, and internationally, including Carnegie Hall, NY, the Kennedy Centre in Washington, D.C., the Olympics in Whistler B.C. and at music festivals and concerts around the globe. She has been honoured to perform for the Dalai Lama, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Prime Ministers Chretien, Mulroney, Harper and Trudeau and for Elders and renowned Indigenous leaders from across Canada and the world. Sarah stays busy speaking, presenting workshops, composing and performing and is currently working on completing her Phd in Indigenous music in Canada.
