Blast off with astronomy experts from The Jasper Planetarium for the best view this year of the stunning craters, seas, valleys and mountains of the October "Supermoon" on top of a mountain.

Your flight will take you nearly 1 km closer to the Moon, to the Skytram Upper Station, where you'll have the chance to look at the Moon at its closest approach to the Earth for some time through the most powerful telescopes in the Canadian Rockies, under the darkest skies in the Rockies. A "Supermoon" happens when the Moon makes its closest pass by the Earth every few months, resulting in views of the Moon that can be up 30% larger in area than at its farthest position from us.

Return flights run between 9.30pm - 10.30pm. We recommend dressing warmly.

*Weather-permitting. In the event the skies are clouded-over, an extended indoor portion will take place at the Upper SkyTram Station and we'll have the chance to explore the Athabasca River Valley (including the town of Jasper) through our telescopes on the mountain.

**Please arrive at least 20 min prior to your scheduled flight time.
