The Jasper Dark Sky Festival presented by Rocky Mountaineer runs from October 11-27, 2019. Check our events page for a full listing of events that are taking place. October is also Dark Sky month in Jasper National Park and there are many great events happening throughout the month.
The average temperature tends to drop and fluctuate during the month of October. The highs can be around 15°C and the lows around -5°C.
Many of the events will take place outdoors, and while these spaces are considered accessible, attendees should be aware that the terrain may be difficult to maneuver. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have questions about specific events or need to make special accommodation requests.

Doors to the CN tent will open an hour prior to the show.
We are encouraging guests to dress comfortably for the weather as the presentations will be held in a large, enclosed performance tent. The tent will be equipped with heaters however, it is October!
Seats will be provided for all guests. All seating is general admission.
Children 2 and under do not require a ticket for the event. Families with children under the age of 2 are asked to keep their child on their lap. There is no special pricing for groups.
Coco's cafe will be providing F&B for the keynote and spacetalks events. The menu includes:
-Butter Chicken on rice with Naan
-Tomato Gin soup with grilled cheese
-Veggie chili with Sourdough toast
-Fresh baked cookies
-Coffee, tea & hot chocolate
-Wine & beer
Dogs will not be allowed on the shuttle unless they are an accredited service dog.
Each ticket includes 2 drink tickets and drinks will be available for purchase after.
